My SmartDisk FireWire CD-RW burner is acting up. When I put in a blank disk, its spits it back out. Both in the Finder and in Toast (w/ toast giving a message of "please insert a blank disk"). This happened once before, and I plugged the burner into my FW HD, and it worked. This time I can't seem to get it to recognize a disk. Any thoughts?

Instead of starting a new thread....I have a problem with my QPS Firewire burner. iTunes or Toast does not see it. If I throw it into another enclosure would that fix it? Once on a blue moon it may see it but other than that nadda. What enclosure would you suggest...good but as cheap as possible.

Advice for PHoynak and citoc, if you have access to a tower computer, try installing the drives manually and see if they work. Then you'll know if you're looking for a new drive or enclosure.
