Does anyone here know how to setup an internet radio station? I wanted to add a low bandwidth radio station (broadcasting off of 256k DSL) that can support 1 or 2 simultaneous streams on my website. Most of the information is limited for these programs. I would be willing to invest some time into developing front-ends if I knew what the heck is going on! Thanks a lot!! (College student=cheaper/free-er is better ;-)

Apple's free QuickTime Streaming Server will do this. The (just-announced) QTSS4 also supports MPEG-4 formats as well as exising MP3s

Bit it might be more of a hassle to get QTSS running than you want. Check out Andromeda (http://www.turnstyle.com/andromeda), mod_mp3 (http://media.tangent.org/ and http://www.onlamp.com/pub/a/apache/2.../12/mp3.html), shoutcast (http://www.shoutcast.com/), and icecast (http://www.icecast.org/).
You can also find some full-blown applications that do this (look on VersionTracker http://www.versiontracker.com), but I prefer the faceless daemons for this sort of thing.

For a slight twist check out
http://netjuke.sourceforge.net
It lets you choose mp3s from your computer and stream them to wherever you happen to be. It's written for Unix in general but works great in OS X. And the developer is very committed, releasing bugfixes daily, etc. I love it.

and incidentally, I found Quicktime Streaming Server very easy to set up and use.
the disadvantage from my perspective is that each playlist is fairly "fixed"; I like Netjuke because I can just pick songs and albums willy-nilly.

In talking with the developer - HOPEFULLY (cross your fingers) Netjuke will stream through QTSS so you can enjoy your collection over the internet too.

I haven't tried the others, but QTSS is very simple to set up and easy to use.
