I really need to record a radio program soon and it streams via Real Audio, now as far as I can tell this is not possible with RealOne player, I do have a soundcard though, would it be possible to loop the output back into the input and then have an app record the input?

If that is the only way, what app could I use to record the feed coming back in on OS X?

Or is there a better way?

I have been trying to record Real streams for sometime now - an the only thing I have ever read of people doing is exactly what you propose - loop the out to the in - then use basically any of a myriad of free software sound app solutions to record the stream. Unfortunately - every time I have tried this whenever I plug my out to my in I get an instant crash/hard freeze - OS 9, OS X, all.

Let me know if you find a solution.
