Is there a way to turn on the PowerBook with lid closed? I think the Apple keyboard might work, but I only have a Logitech Elite keyboard. So, is there a walkround? Thanks!

You need a keyboard, a mouse and a screen attached. And I think you also have to have it plugged into a external power. I have a mac keyboard and it works

You could try creating some sort of apple script and assigning it to a key, other than that I don't see any way of doing it without an apple keyboard.

when the system detects any keyboard, mouse, video and it is plugged into mains power it will wake from sleeping while the lid is down.

It also depends on the PowerBook. Even with an Apple keyboard, I could do this (power on from external keyboard) for my Ti/400 but not my 12" Rev A.

I'm having trouble getting my tiBook 1Ghz to turn on with the lid closed.
I have connected up an iMac keyboard that has an "ON" switch built in.
I even tried closing the lid and allowing it to go to sleep, but then I can't get it to awake from sleep.
I do have 3 external firewire drives hooked up to it. But I don't think they should be causing any trouble.
