I'm pretty new with OSX and have a couple of question. First, when I use Sherlock (in OSX) and find a URL and open it, Classic sometimes starts. How and if , can I stop Classic from opening up. I'm using IE 5.1

Second, when I go to the apple menu (in OSX), scroll to dock then dock preferences noting happens. Any suggestions?

Yeah, suggestion alright: USE THE OSX FORUM!

How freaking obvious does it have to be made? "FOR THE SAKE OF GOD put ALL POSTS PERTAINING TO OSX IN THE OSX FORUM!!!" - Gzl, can you substitute that for the CURRENT 'hint' on the main forum page?

Sorry this had to be taken out on you, but goddamn. So many people do it. I think I'm losing faith in the human species even faster than before.

Ignore some of the assholes here.

Yes, you can stop classic from opening, just hit cancel. If classic is launching from sherlock, make sure that IE is selected as your default browser in the system prefs under internet. If you can't get the dock menu thru the apple menu, just click on the system prefs to get it.

Also, as bluntly stated above, there is an OS X forum here, scroll down some on the front page to the forums.
