hi
i want to create a link to someone's website. the page is a long list of books.
i want to link to the section (half way down) i want.
i think i used to know this....something with #
any help thanks

how do i know if they have anchors ?
and what if they don't have em?

You would have to look at the page source of the site to see if they have anchor links embedded into the page. Anchor links look like the following:
<a name = "nameoflink">anchor link</a>
You would link to this page as:
http://domain/page.html#nameoflink

I can show you how to display that same information on your site, parsing out the stuff you don't care about, if you want... You'll need to have PHP installed for this though.
