Hello,

Has anyone installed and used Coolbook on their MB's or MBP's?

CoolBook

I am really intrigued by the idea of undervolting/underclocking.
My 1.25ghz 12" iBook is quite cool, my 2ghz MB is a litttle warmer and runs around an hour less on the battery.
My 2ghz CD MBP on the other hand is a real heater and the battery gets 3 or so hours out of it.
The ability to "dial" it down for general use and reap the rewards of better battery life and cooler temps and then turn it up for performance sounds good to me.
I want to try it but would like the input from you folks before I proceed.
Thanks

kamikaze... you might think about fancontrol. Just google it. it's a system prefs pane and it does wonders for MBP's.

bishopazrael, thanks for the tip I have been using it on my macbook with great sucess. I was wanting to see if Coolbook really gave any substantial increase in battery life. The way I figure the heat reduction would be cool (no pun) but I am after extended battery life. I need to sell the MB to help pay for the MBP, or I'd surf on the MB and keep the MBP for work.

Thanks again
