Why is the iPhone 7 so expensive?

Hey,
is the iPhone 7 more expensive than the 6s / 6 / 5s / 5? I thought they had all cost the same. Isn't it really expensive? I always thought they would cost something around 500 Euros, not 750 Euros which it costs now.

Here in the US its they are about the same on the monthly payment as the 6S/6S +. The 7/7+ 128G are almost the the same as the the 64G counterparts at Verizon. When you think about it, they are lower in price for the 128G models.

So you thought they were cheaper, and want us to EXPLAIN why your thoughts did not come true ?
Well, EUR 750 is about what it costs in the US.
iPhone 7 base model: $650 / 1.115 FX * 1.19 (VAT Germany) = EUR 694
The reason why you pay a little more is because you get 2 year warranty (EU law) and generally, doing business in the EU is a bit more expensive than the US< so that gets added to the price.

The iPhone 7 costs about the same as the iPhone 6s did last year.

The 7 comes with Airpods right? I would have thought those would bump the price up.

No. Lightning connector regular pods.
However, iPhone 7 does include a Lightning to 3.5mm stereo plug adapter.
