Speakers and sessions have been
announced for this year's MacTech Conference, which takes place October 17th through the 19th in Los Angeles. The sessions are divided into four categories: Sessions Chairs, Joint Sessions, the Developer Track, and the IT Track. Joint Sessions, notably, are designed to address both developer and IT audiences.
Some of the speakers at the event will include technology writer Andy Ihnatko, Microsoft's Chris Risner, and several experts each from Google and Walt Disney. Discussion topics will cover everything from enterprise computing through issues like iCloud, Windows Azure, Objective-C, and AppleScript servers.
Pre-registration pricing for the conference costs $999, but includes meals, entertainment, a
MacTech Magazine subscription, and full access to sessions. The pre-registration period ends on August 31st; after that date the price will go up, although
MacTech promises that pricing will still be about $300 below the on-site registration fee. Special student scholarships are also available. The event is being held at the Sheraton Universal hotel, which is charging a special rate of $184 per night for attendees, although
MacTech warns that rooms are almost sold out.
