Apple seems to be using a clever 'killer app' approach to sell things:
1. iMovie as the killer app to sell iMac DVs
2. Airport technology as the killer app to sell iBooks
3. and now iTools as the killer app to sell Mac OS 9.

It worked on me each time!
Wonder what's next? -Any thoughts?

I completeley agree. Refreshing isn't it?

I think the next "killer app" will be business-oriented. Something to get suits to look into Macs. When was the last time Apple really pushed business apps with their systems? It isn't like there aren't any...From Accounting to Database apps, they're around. Imagine a "Business G4" that pushes not only a new system for converts, but that also pushes business users who might not have succumbed to the Velocity Engine/iMovie excitement.

Whatever it turns out to be, it sure is exciting to be a Mac user. And OS X isn't even out yet.

My two cents.

I agree that business should be a focus for Apple. Back in the Lisa/early Mac days, Apple was very intent on the business market. As Wintel became prominent over the years, the Mac got the reputation of being good for graphics...but little else.

People tell me this all the time. And I tell them that yes, the Mac is better at graphics, but its better at just about everything else too.

Perceptions in the IT&business markets will weigh heavily on Apples future market share. Consumer attitudes are changing, now its time for the corporate.
