Dutch boutique accessory maker Mujjo has revealed its latest wallet and sleeve designs for the iPhone 5. While many iPhone cases are made of plastic, Mujjo prefers to utilize materials like leather and wool, matching the quality of its designs with high quality materials. MacNN has had the opportunity to chat with Remy Nagelmaeker, the Founder of Mujjo about its new iPhone 5 wallet and iPhone 5 sleeve.

With the iPhone 5 having just hit the market, Mujjo is among the first accessory makers to have its products already designed and ready to ship as soon as October 10. "We've been working on an iPhone 5 sleeves collection for a while," Nagelmaeker told MacNN. "In order to develop the sleeves, we've been walking around with a dummy made out of wood (seriously)," he revealed. "We based its measurements on all those rumors that have been floating around. You can imagine that it felt great to discover that we made a good guess and got the dimensions right!" With iPhone 5 accessories set to flood the market in the next month or two, we asked Naegelmaeker about what sets Mujjo's products apart from others. "We're not chasing trends, but instead, every Mujjo design is a reflection of our personal taste," said Nagelmaeker. "Our designs may not be for everyone, but that is just the way we want it to be," he added. "We believe there is a great space in this industry for Mujjo to create new, outstanding but above all contemporary designed accessories." Mujjo is also interested in developing products that use natural materials for both their quality, but also their sustainability. "The iPhone 5 collection is made out of a unique combination of 100% wool felt and high quality leather," said Nagelmaeker. "Wool felt is a sustainable material, offering strength while remaining a soft touch," he explained. "We also use high quality vegetable-tanned leather that's hand-dyed using environmentally friendly dyes. We've developed a special treatment to make the wool felt anti-peeling and water repellent." The Mujjo iPhone 5 wallet is up for pre-order now at À34.95 plus shipping, while the iPhone 5 sleeve is also available for pre-order at À29.95 plus shipping. MacNN will have be in receipt of some production samples soon and we look forward to sharing our thoughts about them with readers.

To me, this looks both ugly and impractical. It seems like you're supposed to put this on your belt? But it has no top so the iPhone would easily fall out. It also appears to be made of felt on the back (the part that's going to rub against you). Haven't these people heard of something called "rain"? Have they never used something made of felt before? I don't see this standing up to any level of friction or moisture at all, it's just a holder that you (would have to) toss in a purse or bag.
