My search for info on this query didn't yield what I was looking for.

I need to get a new wireless router for my house as our linksys router is no longer working. I've had innumerable ptoblems with two different linksys routers in the past so I'd liked to go a different route this time. There will be macs and PC's on the network. Suggestions?

Ok, personally, I had the 1G Apple Airport, a couple of Linksys, a SMC router, and something else (I forgot). Bottom line, I hated ALL, except the Airport. The only reason why I had to replace the 1G Airport was because it wouldn't do VPN.

All other routers that I had needed power cycling on a regular basis as they would drop the connection and not reconnect. It just sucked so bad, I gave up in the end.

My next router will be from Apple, even though it will cost a premium.

Belkin Pre-N. Have 2, and no problems with either.

And for future reference, ALL networking issues, including this one, belong in the Networking forum below. I'm going to move this thread there. You will get a LOT more responses-but be prepared for some that border on fanatic and zealotous.
