Under OS 9.2.2.

How can I make a ZIP 250 working as startup ZIP for my G4 867Mh ??

just try putting the entire system folder on the zip. see if that will boot or been seen as bootable by the Startup Disk control panel.

thx for your reply but that is too simple.. Idid try that but the Ssytem seems not "blessed" (grayed out)

Instead of copying over the system folder, did you try installing OS9 from scratch directly on the ZIP disk?

It should be that simple. When you copy an entire system folder to any volume/partition or disk it will come out as greyed out initially. You have to bless it first. Blessing means that you have to open the folder "system folder" close it without doing anything, you'll notice after closing that folder will now have it system folder icon back.
It should work. If not find one of the old Iomega tools which let you crete bootable zip disks.

This is disabled with 250's (read that a while back)

I don't know the work around, but I remember there being one.
