Google Now notifications are beginning to roll out to users of the stable versions of
Chrome, according to an official announcement. Until this week, Now was only available in Android, beta editions of Chrome, and the Google Search app for iOS. Only a small percentage of Chrome users will see notifications today; the full rollout is set to last several weeks.
The Chrome edition of Google Now functions much like its Android counterpart. This includes support for voice search, and reminders of events like flights and calendar appointments, so long as the data is stored in places like Google Calendar or Gmail. Location-based cards for things like travel times are also included; some of them, though, are based on the position of your phone or tablet instead of your computer.
