Hi there ...

i just want to know is there any way to prevent iTunes 3 from copying the music files to the Music folder? can iTunes 3 just play it and add it to the library while remain its original location?

as i know ... pre-iTunes 3 do ... how can i do it in iTunes 3? what i really mean is ... can i have the music files in their original location (on other partitions) while adding them to the iTunes 3 library ...

Thanks in advance!

1. Look in the iTunes preferences (menu item iTunes->Preferences).
2. In the Advanced tab, uncheck the box for 'Copy files to Music Folder when adding to Library'.
3. There is no step 3.
