I will soon be adding a 15"TiBook to my home network. It has an Airport card and is currently running Jaguar. Does Jaguar & the Airport Card (not extreme) on a 15" TiBook support WPA, or will I have to downgrade the entire network to WEP to allow the TiBook on there?

Thanks.

I think only the AirCard Extreme supports WPA.

Um... Aiport Extreme? Yes - I know about those. I know you can get Airport cards on a WPA enabled network w/ Panther. Does anyone know if it is possible with Jaguar?

Thanks.

WPA security features are available only to AirPort Extreme Base Stations, AirPort computers using Mac OS X 10.3 or later, and computers using other 802.11 wireless adapters that support WPA.

I've got WPA running here on an Al PowerBook G4/1.25GHz (Airport Extreme, 802.11g) and a PowerMac G4/2x1.25GHz (Airport, 802.11b), both running 10.3.3, using a Linksys Access Point.

Hi there,
I know it is possible to use WPA if the machine is on Panther, but sounds like you can't do it with Jaguar. Bummer...

Thanks.

Unfortunate. Especially since WEP is meant to be very easy to hack.
