Hey punks,
can anybody inform me in whether one can get a favicon to appear on a site hosted on one's iDisk?
I've inserted the usual code in the head (although with a full path to the favicon):
<link rel="icon" href="http://homepage.mac.com/nuworld/brilliantgreen/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://homepage.mac.com/nuworld/brilliantgreen/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />
The icon refuses to show in any browser, using a png instead of the ico also has the same non-result. The site itself is: http://homepage.mac.com/nuworld/brilliantgreen
Any ideas?
cheers

Worked for me mate, it's a white star, orange background right? Browsers are notorious for not checking for new favicons for days, weeks, months even. Try clearing your cache, or using a browser that you have never used to visit your site.
Or go iCapture and have it take a screenshot of your site in Safari (on their computer) to have a look.

yeah, thats the one. I even nuked Safari's caches (both WebFoundation, and WebCore) through the debug menu! But you're definately right - I just checked in Firefox and it's there.
thanks for letting me know
