Just thought I'd give you all a dose of reality whilst you're all getting excited about your frickin' iPhones - two car bombs found in central London, and now someone tries to drive a burning car into Glasgow Airport !

The security level here has been raised to 'Critical' - the highest - which means imminent terrorist attacks are now expected.

Just some news from the frontline on the War on Terror.

Ah, the war on terror, what would we do without the war on terror. Gonna find me some terror and wage war on that nasty ol' terror.

I heard Paris just showed up in Hawaii.

Yeah, just got the news from my wife just outside Glasgow - oh, this is going to be so much fun when I have to fly into Newcastle this Thursday, and then Friday we have to drive with the last of our stuff, 4 cats and 3 rabbits down to Dover...

I'm not looking forward to the journey at all

But as long as we avoid the tunnels in the rushhours, I guess we're ok?

Ok, the 2 in the burning car in Glasgow Airport were arrested...

The one terrorist dude looked liked he just stepped out of a furnace when he exited the car and his skin was peeling off.

I can't figure this out...

Why Britain? Haven't they been ultra-tolerant of Muslim immigrants and even gone to great lengths to kiss their butts?

Yet another chapter in the history of the Religion of Peaceâ„¢

And this isn't a War on Terror. If it was a War on Terror, we'd actually be doing something more about it.

S'ok, we're fighting the terrorists over there so we don't have to fight them at home. Oh, wait...

Our security threat level has been raised to 'A strong cup of tea'

If it carries on like this we may have to break out the digestive biscuits, maybe even the hob-nobs, but not the Jaffa cakes though, I mean, there's no need to panic or anything.

Non-Muslims have a simple message to Islamists: 5 billion non-Muslims are not going convert or allow their nations to become shariah states. The sooner the Islamists understand this simple message, the faster they shall wake up from their delusional coma. Well...maybe they'll never wake up.

Why was this moved to the Politics/War forum ? It's neither. It's about a non-contentious issus = a terrorist attack on UK soil.

I assume if/when another attack is made on US soil, all threads discussing it will also be shovelled off to the Politics/War forum ?

As for why they're attacking Great Britain, a number of reasons have been thought up. The number one excuse is England's participation in Iraq, and the number two excuse is the knighthood of Rushdie. I hear that elements of the British media are really starting to blame the country instead of its enemies for these attacks, essentially rationalizing terrorism.

Yes and this is it. They have been TOO Ultra tolerant. They are slowly being taken over by Muslims.

It's not possible to rationalise terrorism. Take the IRA for example who were essentially shunned by southern Irish. The IRA has more or less given up because everyone came to know they were more interested in running guns and smuggling drugs for their own personal fortunes than doing anything for legit movements.

Likewise for those young and poor Muslims who are brainwashed and controlled by a complex hierarchy and organically composed "Islamist" groups led by wannabe dictators, drug smugglers, arms salesmen, human traffickers, hostage takers and stock market manipulators. These monsters use terrorism to achieve a variety of lucrative criminal goals and bully Muslim populations with scenes of carnage otherwise Muslims would be courageous enough to eliminate terrorism themselves.

Yeah, all we have to do is kill all the terrorists, and there won't be any more terrorism in the world. Evar.

Unless they actually silently agree with it, of course.

BTW, I'm getting a number of reports in (off my network) that there were a few other incidents over the weekend which didn't make it to national news. I guess the powers-that-be don't want to scare people.

For example, three bombs found in a harbour and the bomb squad sorting them. I'll see if I can get video.

No doubt many are Islamic fundamentalists, but far from majority. Every person who suffers the loss of a relative because of a suicide bomber isn't going to have Islamist leanings for long but they will be cowered. There were remarkable scenes in Algeria in the 90s when massive demonstrations were held against Islamic fundamentalism. That was brave but it was also easy because Algeria's terrorists lived outside the cities. Much harder to protest in Baghdad where everyone suspects each other of terrorist links. Even harder to police or fight terrorism in a place like Baghdad because cities provide easy hide outs and human shields. I can't see Muslims fighting terrorism themselves. It's a sad fact that West, Central and South Asian cultures (including non-Muslims) are powerless against their worst elements because it results in more violence. Too much hot headedness that is probably climate related.

Logic himself has admitted, somewhere in these pages, that the only difference between the bombers and most muslims is that the bombers lack patience while the others are quite happy to see the same goal realised at a slower, more democratic rate.

They're quick to protest against cartoons and knighthoods - where's all the protests now?
Come on, muslims, out you come with the "death to anyone who uses violence in islam's name" banners. Next Saturday, Speaker's Corner. I dare you.

Religious people yes. I'm willing to bet many are secretly non-religious. Go to any casino or brothel in London and ask them if they could do business without the Muslims who go there!

Many Arabs who visit Britain drop their habits as soon as they land because there is no longer social or violent pressure to be religious. The husbands go directly to gamble. Their wives get rid of the headscarves and go shopping. The sons go clubbing and get so excited from the freedom they experience that they dance their asses off and get wasted after one beer.

And there's nothing wrong with that.
