Right.
I want to be able to block some ip addresses. How would I go about doing this?
Thanks in advance.

Get Brickhouse at versiontracker. Nice firewall administration tool. Create a filter blocking the IPs in question.

well, blocking companies like doubleclick can be very useful.
another alternative to the firewall is to "enable" your hosts file and to add an entry for a domain and have it redirected to 127.0.0.1 -- oops, sorry. only works for addresses, not ips.
anyway, here's what you need to know about os x's host file: http://www.macwrite.com/criticalmass/mac-os-x-hosts.php
