What lemon problem are you referring to?
Why is there always money for war, but none for education?

Raster shift is only one of the problems! There's also the pop noise followed by no video. Then there's the shimmering image. About 50% of all eMacs experience video problems. That's a lemon!

Ouch, I'm getting my wife a new computer in March and was tring to decide whether to get her the iMac or the eMac. Guess it'll be the iMac.

Thanks for the heads up.

Where are you getting these statistics? A few bits of anecdotal evidence about video problems do not a "lemon" make.

My school district purchased 210 eMacs last summer. So far 70 have been repaired or replaced and new ones develop problems every day. OK so my percentage is only 33% but that's still in the lemon category. Perhaps its because ours were all early in the assembly line from China. Reports on MacFixit and Apple discussion boards support closer to 50% failure. Visit Apple Discussions/eMacs/Display for a sampling of all the problems. Either way they are a big disappointment and major hassle for us.
