The icons in the middle of the dock and the desktop picture is what I'm clueless about. I downloaded the MAtrix Rebooted icons but didn't see any Mail, Safari and such icons.
Any ideas?

The title of this thread clearly states that this is "OS X Customizations." Even though you had the decency to also post a Mac screen, no one wants to see that other trash.

(Sorry to keep talking about the same thing...)
This would have helped me 5 minutes ago but I found iconverter at MacUpdate so I converted them myself, but thanks anyway.

What'd you use to get that look? I HAVE to use XP for work related stuff and I hate the default themes.

You all got me inspired to finally make my own desktop (rather than just using the blue ones that came with OSX). Also, thanks to Konfabulator, it is interactive.
The theme and icons are the original OSX ones (for now).
The Matrix glyphs in the background are from a screenshot of the iX Xirtam Screensaver (which is what I use, so everything matches).
Screenshot:
Full Sized
The photos (which just happen to be taken by myself) changes (35 different images) when you click on the lower left/right button (Konfabulator widget: Desktop Changer). The photo is removed, along with the photo numbers, when clicking on the upper left/right button. The photo can also be replaced by additional room for folders (extending down from the top).
Using the 'Change Desktop' feature in OSX, the photos fade-in/out at a desired time interval.
I made a short (55sec) Movie (12.5MB) for those on high-speed connections. This shows the interaction made possible with Konfabulator, as well as the fade-in/out from OSX.

Yikes! People are still using that? Tinkertool has nothing on Transparent Dock.
It's a great app, there isn't much that it cannot do. It says that it is shareware, but all features are enabled and it doesn't ever expire.

Ok that is officially awesome. Is that konfab widget your own? Are you gonna make it available? How customisable is the widget?

Thank you all for the comments, I'm quite happy with the way it turned out.
There really in not anything special about how I made my desktop, it's just a complicated way to do a simple thing! There are actually 39 different desktop pictures (4 without photos and 35 photo ones) that the Konfabulator Widget: Desktop Changer (two widgets actually, one running from one folder - for the top left/right button - and one running from another - for the bottom left/right button). I have not made any modifications to the widget, just a whole bunch of backgrounds. Each background has the same look, but just a different photo (or lack of photo)... so when you change between them the only thing that appears to change is the photo itself.
Now I might get really complicated one of these days and re-write the Desktop Changer Widget so that it looks different (so the buttons can appear to be hidden within the background)... but that's a white away for now. Also, now that I have all the templates for this made it's quite quick for me to add/delete photos or change colors. It would also be nice to have a version that works at the same time as the 'change desktop in time duration' feature of OSX (right now you have one or the other, but not both at the same time).

to convert ico files - but am getting bad anti-aliasing.
Is there a better way to convert them for use on a mac ? )

I used to make it with Can Combine Icons. At least until I bought Pizadex and now I am able to use them seamlessly, don't know if this helps, anyway, Benign.

Always knew I should have read the small print.
I was not at all aware Pixadex allowed drag and
drop of Ico files - Many thanks, admiration and
much'o-gratitud'o on the heads up -Tarambana.
Works perfectly ;)

Btw, this is my official call to themers to make webkit view themes for Adium. That would truly make Adium the ultimate experience.
