Hello everybody,

The first time i posted this topic, something went wrong, and there was no text in my topic. Sorry for that. Here again my topic:

I want to change the Metal Brushed- into the original Jaguar-interface. This week i was trying the ShapeShifter-demo-version. I've tried some Aqua-theme's. But it is not what i want.

But now i'm reading i can take Metallifizer 1.2. But i've gotta install it whith Application Enhancer 1.4.4.

I'm reading negative reviews about ThemeChanger. But what about Application Enhancer 1.4.4. Any people with crash-, or other bad experiences?

And Metallifizer 1.2 is designed for OSX 10.2. Does it slow down my OSX 10.3.5?

Greetings from Holland, land of windmills. Bye so far,

Some people have second thoughts about APE, I've never had problems with that.
Metallifizer should work OK.
BTW : if you happen to stumble into PantherBrushKiller, I'd strongly advise against using it, since their Uninstaller doesn't work.

You will be fine with APE 1.4.4... You would have needed APE 1.4.4 to run Shape Shifter...

And everything that your looking for in your GUI you should be able to get...

" You would have needed APE 1.4.4 to run Shape Shifter... "

No, that's not what i meaned to say.

But your experience's are reassuring. Good to read this.

But... like i said, past week i was trying ShapeShifter. And yesterday i decided to also try Application Enhancer 1.4.4 / Metallifizer 1.2. But after installing Application Enhancer 1.4.4, directly my finder crashed.

That's why i want to hear some experiences. And i will give it a second chance.

Metallifizer 1.2 wont work with Panther.
You need to use this beta: http://www.unsanity.org/archives/000267.php
Working on my machine for ages without any problems.

Allright, Metallifizer 1.3a1, especially for Panther.

By the way, i've gotta wait till i re-installed my OS-system (of course, i'm very carefull now...). But will Application Enhancer also remove the Metal Brushed from my iTunes, and Quicktime Player?

Bye, so far.

No. iTunes and Quicktime both have resource files that have the brushed texture in them, and won't be changed. I'm sure someone has the rsrc for QT and iTunes without the brushed metal. I'm too lazy to do it.

Allright, and where can i find the rsrc?
My screensaver-tips: Download Fluid v2.6.1, and Solarwinds.

No idea, actually. I had SS change my iTunes and QT skins, so it'd take awhile. IF you have themepark and you don't use SS, you can probably just open up the iTunes and QT rsrc and change that 1024 rsrc's in them.

Oh yeah, in your sig, do this:

Place a text bracket then url= in front of your your URL, then close it up with another bracket. Like this:
Download Fluid

OKay, a couple notes:

On APE: been working with Unsanity apps for ages, and tested a few betas for them, and so far I've yet to have anything be specificly problematic due to APE.

On Metallifizer 1.3a: the alpha which is being distributed has issues with metallifizing. Print Util/Printing, Word, and a few other apps have major issues with it, and Unsanity is aware of this. They aren't working on updating it, however.

If you like Metal windows and want that look, I suggest Max Rudberg's Brushed theme. If you want non-metal, then Metallifizer 1.3a will work fine to demetallifize your apps.

Hope this helps.
