You can download games to your cellphone but there are none yet (if at all) for the iPod.

However, you can install Linux onto your iPod and then download the Doom port and play it on your iPod. That's the only game I've heard of for the iPod.

haha... thats me, and yes i have iPod Linux, your iPod isn't officially supported... but they do have versions of iPod linux ( www.ipodlinux.org ) for your iPod.

Doom would look freaking awsome on your iPod (because of color)... unlike my 3rd gen black and white iPod...

Nah, the iPod on Linux installer has a few games. I played Tetris and a Bubble Bobble-like game on it.

But we all know the ultimate Mac game is Photoshop, and that hasn't been ported. GIMP isn't nearly as fun, IMO.

I remembered reading a while back about Apple announcing job positions available for Macromedia Flash programmers to work on something that could be related to new games for the iPod.

It seems that Bricks and Parachute would be easily recreated in Flash. Maybe there are other games out there that would be created in Flash and converted to the iPod?
