Hi,

Although I'm not a novice Mac user, I'm not totally conversant with databases and the like. I have a thousand e-mail messages in two folders in my .Mac account. I use Tiger's Mail to access the account. The mail in the two folders has a mix of plain and rich text messages, some with attachments.

I'd like to get the messages out of Mail and put them into something - like a database?? - so I can archive and read through them in an orderly fashion - on Windows XP.

Any and all suggestions are appreciated. Please be basic with me!

Thanks!!

Your .Mac e-mail account is a (rather) normal IMAP account. So you can use any e-mail client (like Thunderbird) on Windows XP to access all your e-mails.

Oh, yeah ... I know I can just open the account up in another mail client, I wanted take all those messages, preserve them as a collection of messages in their respective folders - plus the attachments if possible -, and make them browsable offline for someone who's running Windows XP.

Sorry if I was being vague ... is there an easy way to do this?
