Some people asked earlier about the 12" vs. 14" and since I can't post a pic of my current setup since I don't have any kind of permanent setup, I'll explain why I got the 14".
I got the 14" at a time when it was not only faster than the 12" and had a 60gb HD instead of 30gb, but had preinstalled airport extreme. I wanted a stock configuration so I could exchange it in store if there were any problems and I needed wireless. The 14" also gets better battery life (only b/c the battery is physically larger) and this was important to me since I recorded all my classes and never ever took my power cable to class.
If I were to buy I laptop today I would get a 12" for sure though since I have good eyesight and don't need it for class any more. I don't regret my decision at all since I loved having a silent computer in class, but now my needs have changed.

I'm not running something demanding like Photoshop on it, but yes! So much so that I added an AirPort card and a new battery from Small Dog. Running 10.3.9, it's turned out to be a perfect "back up Mac" for the basics like Safari, Mail and Word.

Well... what about the fact that the MacBook is replacing both the 12" iBook AND the 12" PowerBook?

Why does that matter? I think it's best to keep the threads separate according to their line, which is easy enough. Any other classification system would probably confuse some readers, and I don't think is necessary. Besides, it's best to keep threads separate and shorter.
Oh and on a different matter: Can we have a general, voluntary rule to keep images at 800 pixels or less wide? I'm on a 17" screen right now, and, even at full screen, I can't see the entire page. I think 800 pixels horizontal should be enough for a good web picture. If you have a larger version, you can always link to it as well.

Well, I mention it since we have a PowerBook forum and an iBook forum. But now we hjave a Not-quite-PowerBook-but-not-really-the-iBook laptop....
My brain explode.
Also, I concur with the "800 pixel max" rule. I thought we already had that? Or is that just in the ScreenShot threads.

Well, but it's a MacBook, clear and simple, whatever niche it may be filling in now. So, we're better off just putting it in a MacBook thread in the MacBook and iBook forum.

I think this may be different for picture threads... not sure. Anyway, I don't care to be unnecesarily rude about it or report anyone. I just think that some posters don't realize others might have trouble viewing the picture and page when the posters are working on a higher resolution screen than other readers.

Your setup looks great, Doc. I've come to like the 14" iBook. What Palm is that? And is the eject thing on the mouse a sticker?

That is an IBM WorkPad c505 (=Palm M505) that is still in use for contacts with patients. Before I bought my Ibook I used to fill it with photos to show the patientes some treatments. Now i can show them in a 14" screen and with a beutifull and impressive notebook!!! They always live it!
as for the eject thing in the mouse, is just the brand logo. I noticed that in the picture it seemed like an eject button.

My sister just got one. It rules all. But I still think the 12" G4 had an amazing and compact design.
