I have used Darwine 0.9.7 a few times with no trouble. But now that I have upgraded it to 0.9.9, I can't get it work, not even for the sample .exe files it is bundled with. Here is the error message:
2006-03-21 20:29:50.975 WineHelper[1904] *** NSTask: Task create for path /Users/*****/Desktop/Darwine/Wine.bundle failed: 13, "Permission denied".
I have verifed and repaired permissions and tried running it from different folders that I know I have read/write privileges. I also tried deleting darwine and downgrading to version 0.9.7 again, but the same error occurs.
Any thoughts? I'm sure it will be something stupid.

Create a new user and try to run it from that new user's environement. If it works compare bothe environement and you'll find what's up on your main profile.

Go inside Wine.bundle and make sure all the binary files in there are world-executable.

FYI...
Repairing permissions will not change any permissions within your home folder. Repair permissions only fixes permisions for files that were installed by Apple's Installer.
