While I was out purchasing a new car with student loans. I went into best buy and they had open box refurbished macbooks for 1049. The 2.2ghz GMA X3100 models 1GB 120/SD White. I walked out of best buy with a 22 inch LCD. apple keyboard and mouse and the mini dvi to vga adapter for 1500 cash.. Not bad at all.. now its just sucking all the information off the old mini. Its fast.. Gonna order the ram upgrade tonight. Much better than the mini

Congratulations on your new macBook. I'm trying to hold out till the 2.4's start showing up on the refurbished page.
Enjoy

PS I encourage you to consider getting applecare. Laptops get used and abused.

Definitely consider AppleCare. If not now, then before your 1-year warranty expires.

The RAM upgrade is a good call. Very much needed.

Having purchased the same unit (except 160/Black) from Apple Refurb, I can tell you you really got in at the sweet spot. These machines are just rock-solid workhorses.

I'm thinking about goosing my to 4GB RAM, while prices are low, and maybe even investing in a faster (7200 RPM) hard drive.

I picked up the same refurb you did (white 120 SD) and added 4gb of ram for $70 from newegg. As I am a college student it goes everywhere with me and is up to every task I throw at it. I do find the 120gb hard drive a bit too small, personally.
