I cannot print at all to my Epson R2880 from Photoshop and I have a number of A3 images I need to print for an exhibition next week. I'm on Snow Leopard and follow some advice I already found on the internet: re-installed Rosetta & printer support from the DVD, re-updated to 10.6.1 and reinstalled the latest Epson drivers. HELP please as I need to print 17 A3 images for an exhibition next week?

This crash report keeps getting sent to Apple "rastertoescp quit unexpectedly":

Just contacted Epson UK chat and of course they just said "call Apple". Charming.

That is not the answer, insist that they take note. They need to work on a fix with you.

can you choose an older driver or maybe even one for a similar model? Sometimes (rarely) that helps.

If this is for production use, then you need to do whatever it takes to be able to do your work. Upgrading your work machine to SL right away was probably not the best thing to do.

If you can't sort out the printer drivers pronto, buy a spare hard drive (if you have a Mac Pro or Hackintosh) or an external HD (if you have anything else). Install Leopard on the extra drive, update to 10.5.8, install stable HP print drivers. Reboot into the extra drive as needed to print stuff.

If you have to order a drive online, then allow for shipping. You don't have much time, so make the decision soon.

Can you take your project to a Print Shop and have them print them for you?

Something's crashing in an object's destructor - probably the programmers didn't do their memory management correctly. This is something that no one but Epson can fix.

What you can try is using a different version of the driver which hopefully may not have the bug in it, or you could see if there are any Gutenprint drivers for your printer.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

Which model exactly is your Epson? Looking over Apple's chart for print driver support, you might need to install Gutenprint to get your printer to work. Referring to the chart, I'm not sure what the difference is between the Epson SP R280 Series (which SnowLeopard directly supports) and the Epson Stylus Photo R280 Series (which requires Gutenprint.)

I have similar problems with the 2880 and Snow Leopard - In Manual feed mode with A3 A4 and 11x17 paper the printer stops at 50% completion, clears the print que and I must shut the printer down to eject the paper- I have been on the phone with Epson for hours - at this time there seems to be no solution - Absolute disaster -
