Hi, everyone!
I am in dire need of the first disk of the MacOS 7.6. Mine gave me a disk error, and I foolishly tried to repair it. Now is unreadable.
I want to install 7.6.1 on my PB 180c, wich has 7.5.3, but can't, thanks to this.
BTW, the same thing happened with my installer disk of Word 5.1. And no, I didn't back up... :-(
TIA for any help or suggestions.

Have you been to Apple's Software Downloads?
There is a set of disk images for 7.61 update at: http://download.info.apple.com/Apple..._7.6.1_Update/

Hope this helps. It may get you where you need to be, even if it isn't what you intended. (I don't have the disks myself, otherwise I'd offer to make an image for you.)

Thank you Axiom, but I've already tried that. The update needs that 7.6 be already in place, but I have the Installer completey kaput.
Best regards.

Try this Apple TIL article.
http://til.info.apple.com/techinfo.nsf/artnum/n26170

They give you this phone number: 1-800-293-6617 -- note that it is $99.00 plus tax.

You could also try eBay, which tends to have much lower prices than anywhere else.
