Very funny coincidence, makes a person want to believe.

No, Tim isn't "there yet", he has a whole lot to learn. But he has passion, drive, and a love of the game. As long as he holds on to that, and keeps working on his mechanics, he can be a very capable franchise QB. I look forward to watching his progress over the next few years, and the Tebow movie that Disney is no doubt already working on.

Will they beat the Pats next week? Something tells me no, but stranger things have happened.

Jesus just gave it to Mahr again. I hope he made him squeal.

He threw for 316 yards

He averaged 31.6 yards passing.

The big defensive play where the Broncos got an interception the Steelers where 3rd and 16.

The final quarter hour TV rating for the game was 31.6

The dude is known for promoting this verse, which promotes the central theme of Christianity under his eyes. All this happens after a major media figure disses Tebow and Jesus in an attempt to make the case that Jesus wouldn't give the guy a hand due to his unshakable faith and passionate promotion?

Coincedence? Possibly.

If I were a supreme being and wanted to send a message without "showing my hand," this is how I'd do it, however. Maher has been noticeably silent post game. I think he's nursing a sore ass.

I think the key thing here is to realize it's very important to supreme beings to "not show your hand."

Yes... I'm told supreme beings like to work in mysterious ways. I guess it's to add excitement and intrigue.

I wonder how the losing team feels about God picking the other team. Must be a real blow to their faith.

Exactly. If the Bible tells us anything about God, it's his appreciation for subtlety.

Just in case the raping of married women and murdering babies didn't catch anyone's attention.

Everyone was seeing "911" everywhere after the WTC attacks, which could be written off as coincidence. Or, it could be that the will and focus of large groups of individuals can actually cause change.

I'm not aware of Jesus murdering babies and raping women, but I might be wrong. If you could point me towards some examples of this in the Gospels I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

If you want the seeds of your creation to figure out on their own, just by viewing all of your other miraculous creations, and figure out that it was made by a higher power, you wouldn't.

It's the whole "faith" thing. You know - believing in something because your heart tells you that there is more to the stuff you observe but can't prove. Like God, ghosts, or something like man global warming.

True, as a younger God he was a lot less subtle.

So why is he trying to subtly cheat?

You can tell he's really mellowed out by what's predicted in Revelation (that's the Lamb of God, back there, in the background. Pay no mind to the carnage.)

It seems very disingenuous to me to suggest that God, in his (presumably) infinite patience and wisdom is an entity satisfied with letting his creation "figure it out on their own" over the last 2,000 years, but that there's actually a hidden deadline. For an entity to whom time as we know it has no real meaning, that doesn't seem analogous to some process of maturity. It seems more like the same old sh*t.

(This actually makes sense historically because Revelations, of course, draws on a tradition of Jewish apocalyptic literature, and early Christians were inclined to believe that the second coming would probably occur in their lifetime. But now it's in the Christian canon so you get to deal with it. Yay!)

I think he's trying to create some balance because he's pissed that Maher is an ugly jackass who somehow serial dates the beautiful models he creates. I think he probably thought they'd serve a higher purpose than that when he made them.

So I take it what happened was Maher told some off-color joke at Tebow's expense? Like everyone else has? And now that Tebow has won a playoff game, stupendousman has started a thread on MacNN to make sure that Maher doesn't forget it!

I'm guessing Maher guaranteed Tebow would lose.

But I'm referring to the posts in the latter part of the thread.
