So is this even possible? Affordable? (Audio advice needed)

So, ever since I died last year, I've been on some kind of weird home improvement kick. Part of it has involved [strikeout]up[/strikeout]grading the kitchen and I've reached a point where I'd like to introduce audio.
Now this is a simple task – Get some bluetooth speakers, get Airplay, etc., but no I have to make this complicated. I have some unused stereo speakers around that I'd like to connect to the receiver in my living room – wirelessly (yes, audio quality be damned).
So far all the options I find are either bluetooth centric systems (i.e., for use with your phone, receiver not required), standalone wireless speaker systems (More expensive because they include speakers I don't need), or bluetooth adaptors (for sending music to the receiver).
Now I figure if I can add zone 2 speakers to the kitchen, I can hear any home theater audio in kitchen, which is better (cooler) than just a set of airplay speakers.
So let me hear it. Impossible ask?

Not especially. There are wireless speaker kits meant for rear speakers in an HT setup. Just buy one of them, connect the broadcast unit to your HT receiver and put the receiving part in your kitchen like the amp for your existing speakers. Here is one that Google turned up, no idea if it's any good.

The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

That looks like the idea. Good price. Audio delay could be an issue, but its almost impossible to hear anything from the living room in the kitchen.
Also what search terms did you use? My google-fu failed me big time.

Yeah... I love the shit out of Airfoil, but I've had issues with its delay compensation. Likewise, you can get sync drift which doesn't happen with AirTunes proper.
Anything run through VLC can be fixed though.

For $20 I'll come over and sing in any room you want for a few hours.

What receiver do you have? Are you already running 7.1 in the theater? Some receivers let you use zone 2 with 5.1 only, as the zone 2 outputs steal two channels blocking you from using 7.1.

I'm only running 5.1 to begin with, but I imagine my receiver is old enough that your concern is valid, if inapplicable.
