I'm assumming it's looking for a boot disk, It happened after i zapped my PRAM now i can't boot at all.
I'm new to Macs and this was given to me w/o any start-up disks or CDroms.

the machine can't find a proper system folder on the startup disk. what you need to do is find an OS 8 CD or disk tools floppy and boot the machine with that. once it's up and running, you may need to re-install the OS. checking out the hard drive with a disk utilitiy program or disk first aid would also be a good idea.
