I've just been wondering about this lately and wanted to know how many of you actually use that "Preview Post" button and edit your posts? I almost always look over my posts. If you don't: Is it unnecessary for you? Are you too lazy? Thanks.

I suppose the forum posts the thread while you're still making the poll. I just hit "Submit Poll" and it freaked me out to see someone post in the 2 to 3 seconds that it took me to hit the button

Yeah, some people literally hover over the boards waiting to reply to anything and everything that might pop up. One time, I'd spent 4 or 5 minutes typing out a post... when my brower refreshed to show the thread, there was already a reply to it!

Of course, it helps that these posts are typically things like "Your [sic] gay" or "+1" or whatever.

Actually, I proofread almost all of my posts. Sometimes I let one get past me and I have to go back and edit it after I've posted, but mostly I catch stupid keyboard tricks and bad construction when I read what I've typed.

No.

Edit: I mean yes.

Seriously, though, when I do make edits often it doesn't show the little "Edited by ... at ..." tag at the bottom. What's with that?

Don't we get like 5 minutes before that shows up? (ie, for mixing stupid mistakes)

ghporter: Thanks for the clarification, I actually meant to say proofread. FWIW, I rarely edit my posts after the fact. Oh well.
