Oh, here's the solution!
Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. The first thing I think of when I hear "Für Elise" is "my CPU fan is failing or has failed!"

That's pretty freakin' awesome.
So instead of an annoying "beeeeeeeeep" you hear "it's a small world after all..."
I'm having a hard time deciding which would actually be more annoying/

Since an error alarm is supposed to annoy you into taking notice, I would not have chosen Classical music. Something from heavy metal maybe.

Dude, nothing is more annoying than "It's A Small World".
Which, as a result of reading that KB article, is now stuck in my head.

Sucks for you, I guess. Despite having been on that ride more than 10 times in the last year, I don't know the melody.

So can Disney & the RIAA sue Microsoft for using "It's a Small World" on their computers?
