Southwest fashion police set no-fly zone
As the mercury climbed over 100 on Labor Day, I called Southwest Airlines with a not entirely hypothetical question:

Could a young woman board a flight to Tucson today wearing a bikini top?

Angelique, the agent who took my call, assured me that a young woman could.

“We don't have a problem with it if she's covered up in all the right spots,” she said. “We don't have a dress code.”

Tell that to Kyla Ebbert, who was escorted off a Southwest Airlines flight two months ago for wearing an outfit far less revealing than a bikini top.

Ebbert, a Mesa College student and Hooters waitress, was allowed to stay on the plane, but only after she put up a fight and, she says, was lectured on how to dress properly.

I really have to wonder what the guy's problem was.

The outfit in question:

That is nuts.

On a plane, the only way you'd know that is if you drilled a hole through the seat in front of her and looked.

Not really, if she was in an aisle seat she could flash everyone coming on board. Of course all of this is purely speculative.

I think this should be a pun thread. Try to stick as many puns in your messages as possible.

I think Dakar's point is that the more scantily-clad women are allowed on flights, the better.

iMHO, I'm guessing that there is more to the story. I've seen people wearing much less on Southwest Airlines with no problems.

Makes me wonder...

There's a close-up of her on an MSN article and I can assure you, that picture does her too much justice.

You'd still hit it.

I just moved and have no tube connection at home. I figured I had to see how my subjects are doing.

Well the image may be a bit more censored than what she was really dressed like... I believe that this picture was taken for the article at least a day or two after this incident happened. Who knows what she was really wearing, how high she had the skirt pulled up, or how revealing the shirt was at the time. Even with the skirt pulled down slightly, I can imagine that thing being pretty dang short looking in high heels.

It's hard to know when you only hear the "victim"'s side of the story.

Britney's "dress" also looked okay from the front, but from the back... no way. Don't click the spoiler button. Seriously.

Puritans? Heretics more like it. <- note the exquisite use of political incorrectness, while still being completely correct.

No, it was a cut to commercial on one of Tales of Interest. I think it's after Bender becomes human, overweight, and dies.

Well... I really don't know what to say... is "thank you" sufficient?

And in all honesty, I was going to post something along the lines of "perhaps she was showing everyone that curtains don't match the carpet"... but I thought that it was a bit crude.
