Hey I noticed I have this program on my computer.

Do this help maintain the performance of the computer at all?

It has some disk repair capabilities (although not as well regarded as DiskWarrior's), as well as a bunch of other tests of hardware such as the CPU, video card, RAM, etc. It's got the best surface scan available on the Mac platform, which used to be really useful back in the floppy disk days, but still comes in handy to see whether a hard disk is dying or not.

Basically, if you think something's wrong with your computer, you can go ahead and run it in addition to the Apple Hardware Test to see if it can figure out what the trouble is. If your computer is working fine, you can set it aside for now.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

If you have Leopard, and you've taken a look at TTD 3.1.1 you've seen the screen that warns you it hasn't been tested with OS 10.5

I run TTD on my Mini with Leopard, and it seems to do what it's supposed to do.

Do you need it? Probably not, but it hasn't done anything bad to my Mac. YMMV

Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Yonkers can have better TV reception.

Weird. I wonder if they will test it any time soon.
