Is that for the heli?
I had him down to like 40% like a couple of days ago, now I've got him at 54% (I'm done with all his missions besides the races) but I guess I should keep going bowling with him? This is sorta the one negative I've seen in this game, the lack of variety of places to go when you HAVE to hang out constantly with like 8 different people. And you have to pick them up, take them somewhere, do the activity, then drive them home. This is the only tedious thing I've seen so far.

I think it's more how time consuming everything is. Drinking is instantaneous, but the buzz lasts just as long as one of the other venues. All that leaves is eating, which I feel lame doing constantly. Also, fat.

Yea actually the best thing for brucie is the helicopter tours you take with the chicks, if you call him and ask click heli tour instead of bowling or food its a fun mission (fly to a landmark and fly back) and its his favorite activity (correct me if i'm wrong but i think it adds 11% to his like each time)

They should've put in a gym to take Brucie to. Take him to work out, get a work out yourself, and get like 20% to his Like meter each time. He'd love that.

Rockstar's Social Site is killing me. My stats update rarely. I just realized how rarely, since the one section lists my completion at 23% even though as of last night I stand at 40%.

Details I've come to appreciate after 30 hours:
Cars have rear defrosters.
Windshield dirt.
The extra info on the back of cars (i.e., V12, SE, etc.)
The explosion of feathers from killing a flying rat.
Fat ugly hookers.
The crazy homeless people, where they're found, what they say and do.
Beater cars.
Three types of taxi.
Cars available as convertibles, and also with the soft-top up.
The treads on tires.
Blood smears on cars.
Cars that stall, or completely die instead of blowing up.
Dialing 911 to have it restart.
How police cars give a brief burst of their siren when you violate minor traffic laws (running red lights, driving on the wrong side of the road). Unnerving in the middle of a mission, sometimes.
The difference between trying a stunt jump at 9 am and 9 pm, traffic-wise.
How the radio DJs allude to the time of the day during their segues.
How current the radio news is.
The damage modeling - if I wrap the rear around a pole, the trunk becomes a U. After too many stunt landings, tires go askew, affecting handling.
The glow of headlights and taillights when viewing the city from a distance.
Cabbies who flick butts and bob their head to the music on the radio.
The wet shine from the road and sidewalks when it rains.
Feel free to share your faves.

A detail that I noticed was one in which I had just taken Brucie out to eat. I had stopped short of returning him home, because their conversation wasn't over yet, and I wanted to hear all of it. While panning the camera around, Niko would look over at Bricie as they spoke. If I stepped on the gas, Niko would look ahead. As soon as I stopped, he would look back at Brucie. Also, if the radio is on, and music is playing, Niko does a little dance to the music while in the car. All very subtle. It is details like these that are often missed my many, and the fact that it is these details that were put into the game, is what makes it so amazing.

I think the Social Club stats are for the percentage of the Marathon tasks completed, not for the percentage of the game completed.

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

I like the world reactions most of all. I took a cab to a place, and get out for a mission. The cab driver hits a guy. The guy cussed him out and hit the hood, then went the driver side and pulled him out the car. Beat him down and stole the cab. Classic.
Random car crashes and fender benders all over.
People's cell phones ringing with them talking on them at random on the street
Use of the Police computer when you steal a Police car
Music playing in the car when you get out you can still hear
Intro Music (Soviet Connection)
Internet Cafe ads
Riding a motorcycle with the SIXAXIS in traffic (whoa)
Reaction from people if you bump them with the car.
When the shooting starts people get the hell out of the way and get cover.
Hot wiring a car and driving down the street with the alarm going off

Flying through the windshield
Radio news of recent missions
Changing type of police siren while driving (click and hold right thumb stick)
Rain effects, driving conditions
Fog effects over the bridges
The Sultan and the Sultan RS Differences (RS obviously a regular Sultan with a black (carbon?) hood and roof, wide body kit, and turbo, as you can hear the blow off valve and turbo whine when the gears shift...AWESOME)
Car theft animations (elbow, foot, jump in convertible)
...plus many things Dakar mentioned.

I had an unexpected experience last night. I climbed one of the cranes, and when I got to the top and Liberty City opened up in front of me, my stomach dropped. That's right, GTA IV gave me a brief bout of vertigo.

Just found out an advantage to dating the girls online. The one I'm dating (Carmen) is a nurse, and she just called me and told me I could call her any time and she would give me medical advice over the phone. Doing so gives you some hp back. So much better than trying to hunt down a hot dog stand when you're a little low on hp.

Well I finished the game... meaning I beat the last bad guy at the end and the credits rolled. Thing was my game completing was only at 61% so it came to an unexpected end for me.
Nothing unlocked when you beat the game. No map markers yet either... I think I just have to call people and play sports and race and stuff like that.
The last level was pretty cool with different stages to it but it was pretty easy, I beat it in 5 tries or so
you get a few options of Kill X or Y so I didn't save my game and I am going to make those choices again but the opposite one so I can see what the results are.

As for cars... there aren't many really. Helicopter is much faster anyway

Isn't there a proper fast car shop by one of the safe houses? I seem to think there is from what i remember of playing on it at my friends house.

I think we need to get a four man crew to try and beat those Rockstar times on Hangman's Noose, Bomb the Base II, and Dealbreaker.
"Deal Breaker" (7:04)
"Bomb da Base II" (5:56)
"Hangman's NOOSE" (2:32)

No, wait, the last two of you were right.
It's up to you to set a time and date, sek, as you're the one with the more brutal job to worry about getting up early for. I think the only time that's off limits if Thursdays at 10 - 11pm.
Edit: Ah crap:
I hope the first patch for GTA allows friends to do ranked versions of the co-op missions. For some reason, they don't show up while in the party list, and if you just go ranked, you're bound to be in someone else's room.
Found from googling...
---
More comments:
I got into a firefight on an elevated subway platform stairs. At one point there was a bench between me and a foe. I started blasting at him, and parts of the bench I was hitting started splintering and flying off.
It's always amusing to cause a fatality from a crash (hearing them slumped on their horn), but I had a more amusing one this weekend when I plowed into a car so hard the driver flew out the windshield and onto my hood.
The car diversity still stands as a medium sized flaw from the past generation. I once drove down a street with 6 Banshees parked in a row on one side. And I believe the record now stands at 8 Feltzers in a row on a street. The game still doesn't give more 3 types of vehicle at any given time (excluding municipal vehicles, and to a lesser degree, taxis).
The momentum carrying you out of a helicopter as you die is a bit unrealistic. It's pretty difficult to drop down in the general area it's hovering at unless you're at a standstill.
While we're on the helicopter, apparently it's impossible to lose the cops in one? Or past two stars?
And don't bother shooting the helicopters guns, either.
I'm also seriously considering killing Roman on an outing. The guy calls too much. And I'm curious what will happen (Mission Fail?).
Right now, Brucie will txt me occasionally telling me to call for races. I keep calling for races, but he says there are none.
Coolest thing I've done with the Helicopter: There's a multi-story driving range on the west side of Agonquin, that's completely closed off. I landed the helicopter inside. I was disappointed not to find a pigeon or anything.

Really? I heard the helicopter was the easiest way to lose the cops. Just got the ability, though, so I haven't tried it yet.
Also, if you guys are going to try and get those coop achievements, there is a glitch that can really help you get Bomb da Base II before the time limit:
