So I fell asleep at the wheel and the Season 3 release completely passed me buy. All accounts say its more wang-heavy than Watchmen.
Also, I picked up the soundtrack. It's brilliant.

*ahem* I almost accidentally bought the vinyl on Amazon because I wasn't paying attention. Apparently you can only get the CD off [Adult Swim]'s site.
In the meantime a copy mysteriously appeared in my iTunes.

The first part of season 4 starts on October 18th. Eight episodes I think, with 8 more in the springtime.

thanks for the reminder. The Final Dakar appears to be slacking off. The Previous Dakar was much more efficient at this sort of thing.

My thoughts exactly, this episode introduces more storylines than whole previous seasons. I love how they've moved the time slot back a full hour from last season, now I'll be even sleepier on Mondays (like I was this morning).

Yeah, I mentioned to a friend that the new timeslot feels like a purposeful death sentence. (Not that I think Doc & Jackson would want to a do a Season 5, necessarily)

Yep. Quality isn't the best, but it works.
Also, the Memento-style storyline was a little confusing the first time though. I'm going to have to watch it again.

"I found Dr. Venture's time machine."
Watched it twice to figure it all out. Still not sure what happened. I bet Quentin Tarantino would be proud.

Looking forward to this season.

Yeah, you pretty much had to watch it twice... and it's way better the second time.
The story structure started at the end, jumped to the beginning and then alternated backwards until ending at the middle. 10,1,9,2,8,3,7,4,6,5... with Brocks story moving in the right order and the Families moving backwards...
Definitely ambitious. And those title flashes on the screen "THE ANGEL" "HUMAN TORCH" etc... were the different stories in Marvel #1.

I keep forgetting to mention (or ask) is this the first season that Brock has pupils (real ones)?
Pretty good episode last night. I'm thinking the premiere might have also served to catch us up on all we missed, and we're going to proceed from when Brock killed Hitler.
I realize there are people with super powers in the show, but was Captain Sunshine )or whatever it was) the first with non-explainable non-scientific ones? (i.e. everyone else got theirs as a birth defect or some type of science accident).
So, 21... shades of The Maxx with those knives?

I thought he said his powers were due to his special suit harnessing the radiation of the sun's rays?
Anyways, excellent episode, if not entirely creepy the whole time. 21 is certainly channeling the Maxx with his knifes and even the way he moves and runs, didn't consider it until now, but it's very obvious.
I'll probably pick up on more after the second viewing.

Oh yeah, I keep forgetting to bitch that this show doesn't have nearly enough voice actors.
Interesting pull that they got 'Batman' last night, though.

Yes, I know. I was so ****ing tired of the Sgt. Hatred **** last season, but this was different enough that it was kinda funny.
But please, no more after this episode.

Actually, Hank is 17 now, so he's not really a child anymore. 17 is the legal age of consent in most states... so it's not really pedophilia... just creepy.
I just rewatched this and it was definitely a goodun.

Okay, I had this all wrong. I've been reading some comments on this episode and I don't think that it was about pedophelia. It was more of a commentary on the homoerotic undertones between batman and robin. Captain Sunshine isn't a pedophile at all, he's just an emotionally stunted weirdo. The lube that was to be applied to hands "buttocks" was not for, uh, sweet luvin... but rather so he could go down the costume chute without a sore bottom. Hank even says something like, "Hey, it worked! I slid right down!" and when the Monarch goes down he ends up all sore and wedgied. Everyone is supposed to think something is going on, but nothing is, and nothing ever would. It's just supposed to look like that.

I don't disagree too much, but homoerotic undertones + underage sidekick = pedophelia, basically.
