Second question, to anyone who knows, how do you get the Adium background completely transparent? And I don't mean by having a solid colour desktop.

Those icons are for commerical use. Those free icons you come to appreciate so much are for personal use only. $249 isn't such a bad price in the corporate world, especially for that many icons.

It's an illusion really. Make sure the background closely matches the color of your wallpaper. Instant transparency.

Oh... For sure! If I were highered to design a huge batch of icons that completely maintained that level of consistancy and professionality... I would have to charge a lot more for them. They must be making them in Mexico is bulk or something to charge so little.

Anyway. I would love to have most of these packages... Unfortunately the licensing scheme that this company is not flexible enough to give them for free for personal use.

That used to be a feature in the Finder.

I wonder if we can get it back.

I liked that. I just don't want to use a haxie.

It was a feature in a Beta version of the OS. Not one of the final ones. They removed it for a reason.

It's just a "Does whatever Jasoco wants it to do" Widget. I've posted it on my site. Read the disclaimer first though..

Maybe because they date back to 12-26-2002?

AlBook Tigger port. Not safe for kiddies, work or those of a nervous disposition (though i have placed iTunes strategically to avoid fainting and coldsweats) .. and Lucy Lui is sooooo beautiful...

Some people wear their heart up on their sleeve.
I wear mine underneath my right pant leg,
strapped to my boot.

Such a strange mixing of concepts. For me, it really highlights the fact that as members of our modern consumer society we live in a truly plastic fantasy world, seemingly surrounded by surreal iPod dancers and similar technological distractions, while at the very same time our nations wage incredibly devastating and bloody wars. Millions upon millions of people live with the images represented in this desktop as their daily reality. And how often do most of us really stop to reflect on that? Thanks for posting it.

though warning. some pix are a wee bit risque.

and raduga, thanks very much for the comments. when i first posted it, i was a bit shocked when one of the comments stated that by having such a desktop background i was in support of terrorism!! but your post gives me hope that there is a future for intelligent human beings who are able to analyse our society without spontaneously labelling and judging like sheep anything that is a little uncomfortable- so much for homeland security! and Zimphire- how do you like my last snapshot?? bit more palatable although has nudity- i said i would find some nice pix
