Hello,

My eleven year old son wishes to be able to boot back to 9.1 to play his games within 9.1. Trouble is that the Startup Disk inside X, which is set to boot to X, needs admin privileges to change. Anyway to do this without giving him admin rights? Running a 9600 with Sonnet card (works great with X).

Also, are there any X programs that can change rights to folders/files etc. easily without going to the terminal to change mods.

RB

There are programs to change permissions I suggest getinfo or Xfile... you will find them at the osx download sections...

I think if you don't want to give admin priviliges to your son then he can restart holding the oprion key and the comp will start in 9.1 but then you need system disk 3.1.1 to restart in Mac os X ...

I donno if with Nwtinfo you can limit the admin priviliges to your sons account.

Long live 9600 w/t Sonnet!!!
