I'll watch if I'm not busy. I've already seen a couple things on the History Channel as well.

Mostly because I am running on very little sleep and Im kind of out of it. There was no hidden agenda, just an oversight. And besides, I closed that other thread because the kiddies can't play nice together.

Yeah, I reread it and just reopened the thread after moving it in here. Like I said, I'm a little spacey today. Happens to the best of us, I guess. I just get sick of otherwise intelligent adults acting like children. Alright, no point in derailing this thread too.

Return to your regularaly scheduled thread, all ready in progress.

Most of the documentaries on commercial telivision focus only on the negative asp[ects of Hussein's rule. He was a bad and cruel man, but not pure evil.

so when he tortured and murdered people, and had women and wives raped in front of their husbands, it was a good thing?

He was a bad man. He did do good things for his nation, however. Nobody is pure evil.

bwhhahahahahahah! You can't be serious. Any proto-human can get literacy rates to rise. His 'achievement' wasn't exactly something to brag about, either:

total population: 40.4%
male: 55.9%
female: 24.4% (2003 est.)

A pathetic defense of a horrific man.

So what? Ted Bundy and Jeffery Damer probably helped a few little old ladies cross the street every now and then. Stalin, Lenin, Pol Pot, Mao Tse-tung, and Hitler probably had some positive aspects during the reigns. John Gotti helped people in his neighborhood. Bottom line, when you weigh any positive acts attributed to these people against the evil acts they committed these people are among the sickest of the sick phucks on this planet. They have taken far more than they ever gave back.
