There, I said it.
I have given it 5 episodes, biting my tongue, but man, this show is truly awful on many, many levels!
Bad acting, casting, everything.
I *love* Kieth Allen as the Sheriff, but as for everything else, yeesh!
You look at Robin of Sherwood from the 1980's, and it rocks in every way, tis, meh. We've not moved on in 15 years!
/rant over!

The Michael Praed Robin was really really good. I still have the run kicking around on VHS somewhere. But the switch to Jason Connery killed the show for me, and I quickly stopped watched it. So the new one (wasn't even aware there was a new BBC series) is worse than the Jason Connery Robin Hood? Yech!

Hmmm... I agree with you, the series pretty much blows big dead bear, but I think the problem comes down almost entirely to the writing. I think the actors do a pretty good job with the swill they are given.
I'm starting to have to admit, even more unfortunately, that Torchwood kind of blows as well.

Connery killed RoS for me too, but even RoS mk2 is better in every possible (seriously), conceivable way that the new rubbish... it really is that bad.

The 13 part series just started here in the last couple weeks and I'm really really enjoying it. I assume this the same show you guys were watching a few months ago? Playing on BBC America here.
I'm looking forward to part 3 tomorrow.

Oh man, I couldn't agree more. I also gave it a shot for a few episodes, but just couldn't stand it. Everything about it just screams mediocre. And the historical inaccuracies!
