I downloaded fan control a while back and it said that one fan spins and the other doesn't.

Left fan spins at about 3650 RPM, the right fan stays constant at -1RPM.

To see if it was temperature controlled, I opened all of my apps up at once and let the RPM of the left one get to 5K, the right one stayed at -1.

Is there a ceased fan, or is there actually no right fan?
I miss the days of the G5 and XPS Pentium 4 running side by side as high-end machines.

Are you currently running the latest version of SMC Fan control? Go ahead and try updating it, you may be running a slightly older outdated version. But to answer your question, I think that the Macbook only has one main fan, that located near the screen. Although I could be wrong.
