Apple is giving customers the option of trading in their PowerBook G4 laptops for credit toward the purchase of the latest 15-inch and 17-inch notebooks, Think Secret has learned.

Apple confirmed that US-based owners of the original and "Gigabit Ethernet" G4 PowerBooks will be able to participate in the upgrade program through March 27, 2004.

This is a great deal for owners of the 400Mhz or 550 MHz Titanium PBs (my father has one).

I'm not so sure if I would go for it in the case of 667MHz model or higher, since those are still pretty useful and could possible command more $$$ on the open market.

Rumor, rumor, on the wall, what's the most annoying of them all? Anything you could have read on the rumor site. How about we NOT just cut-and-paste from rumor sites, eh?

People who want the rumors can then just go to the rumor sites and read rumors. Revolutionary! And those uf us who don't want to read them can surf in blessed freedom from them. Unbelievable!
