made good experiences with the Apple repair-service generally?

This is my third Laptop from Apple (original iBook, Ti 667, Al 1.5) and by any of these computers I had to object something within the warranty! EACH TIME when I got back my loved computer in the past there was still something wrong or another thing wasen't working as befor. I got my laptop (Al 1.5) back from repair today and I noticed that the enclosure is scratched and twisted... they replaced the old logicboard with a false one (64MB instead of 128MB VRAM). Furthermore the sleepmode is not working anymore when I close the lid (???)...

I'm worried about that it will come back even worse when I take it for the next logicboard replacement...

I did't pay about 2800$ for a PowerBook and a service like this I feel really betray!

unfortunately Apple makes the best operating system, so I have to stick to this hardware...

If you have another option, take the machine to a different shop. The quality of the repair depends entirely on the person doing the repair--including the mail-ins to Apple.

I had the "white spots" problem on my PowerBook. I sent it in to be repaired...they picked it up on a Thursday morning, I had it back on Monday. No problems whatsoever, they fixed the white spots issue. Couldn't have been done better, really - except never to have had the white spot problem at all, of course.
