Hi folks,

Just a quick question. I'm using the standard report.cls for my thesis but my supervisor wants me to make a change to one of the auto-generated bits. For figure and table captions, he wants me to have the part "Figure 1.3:" in bold. I've had a go with \renewcommand\figurename{\bf{Figure}} in my preamble, but that puts the whole caption in bold. Similarly, \renewcommand\figurename{{\bf{Figure}}} results in "Figure 1.3:".

Does anyone have any ideas?

Many thanks,

biscuit
