Digital Touch sent from Apple Watch does not expire?

	On iOS 10 & watchOS 3, why is it that digital touch taps sent with the watch don't expire like when they're sent with the iPhone? I know everyone thought the original watch taps etc were a bit lame, but I actually really liked sending taps as a quick message. Also, there's no Apple Watch forum on here?
