kinda rough, but I have a lot of tweaks in mind.

'temporary' rear loop will be replaced by smaller copper arc - copper is not cleaned nor polished. There's some funky tape on the monitor face that needs to go.

It's 10 minutes old. cut me some slack.

Impressive work, as always, Spliffdaddy.

If I was a PeeCee kinda guy I would buy one of these off you.
Although, just how much knowledge of electronics and refrigeration
is required to own one of these things (talking about your PC's as well)?
I could easily see me electrocuting myself if I had to actually maintain
the electronics in one of these things.
One should never stop striving for clarity of thought and precision of expression.
I would prefer my humanity sullied with the tarnish of science rather than the gloss of religion.

So what is your goal with this? Just making a display to match your computers? Or are you doing more than outside work on this? Your PCs and such you spend a lot of time making them run really fast and cool then throw some kind of case on it. I'm just curious if this is a case-only project.

Old-style cheese grater immediately came to mind.

Is something else going to go around that copper frame, or is that pretty much the final build, aside from the loop? Some mesh casing might be cool, though make it hard to handle, I imagine.

What would you like us to put on your epitaph when you electrocute yourself?

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

Without the shield there is some danger of shock or electrocution. With the shield, there is not. Sorry to disappoint

OK, ready for polishing...

Yeah, this is just a matching monitor for the Deliverance project. A flatpanel wouldn't mimic the theme correctly. Too modern.

The chiller unit is pretty much done (see below) and I'm currently working on the CPU case. While the project was made to look archaic and mechanical, it was also designed to be the undisputed "fastest desktop PC on the planet".

triple hammertone fade-to-green paint. phatness.

Why not use some plexi in place of the shielding? You'd need to swiss-cheese it but still..

Spliff: I think it needs something. The computer is 100% custom and badass with all sorts of switches and whatnot. The monitor just looks like a naked monitor. Add some wiring, dials, or maybe some of that dryer duct 'exhaust tubing' or something. It just looks too plain.

So do you post these on PC ricer forums too? Cuz I find it hard to believe more than 0.0000000000000000001% of Mac users would ever buy one of these.

Other than here at Macnn - I post in a private forum that requires registration. Nowhere else. Count yerselves lucky

Sales are always slow at Hillbilly Technologies. We only create a handful of products every year. Probably not enough to satisfy the demands of even .00000000000000001% of the Apple community.

I use these forums to gauge interest and get feedback. If I can make a bunch of Mac users happy, I've done the impossible. For example, Ca$h informed me that the monitor looks 'plain'. And he's right. I might not have noticed otherwise. PC ricers wouldn't have cared nor bothered to comment on that fact. You folks don't hold back and aren't easily impressed.

Anywho, I build this stuff for the fun of it. There's no way to be compensated fairly for my labor without charging ten thousand dollars for a large project like Deliverance. It's been 'under development' since last November.

The flatpanel and CRT monitors are simple half-day jobs that require less than $10 in parts. I could probably sell some of those at a profit.
