What do you think of this? I have a customer who's trackpad button is sort of falling off. Here's two pics and a video:

So what looks like happened is that the left side of the button has come detached from it's framework. So when you click on the middle or the left side, it works fine, but when you push down on the right side, it pops the left side up.

UNFORTUNATELY, the whole trackpad structure is blocked by metal, so even with the battery removed, you can't actually see anything useful inside to figure out exactly what has gone wrong. I wish I had a junk top-case to dissect so I could see exactly how it is assembled, I suspect it might be possible to rip the button off completely, then use crazy glue to reattach it. But I don't want to pull the button off this customer's computer on a hunch, and have it be broken for good.

Just to reiterate, this is the 1st generation MacBook Pro, not a unibody.

What I want is to see under that, or from the other side, underneath the button. I don't think I'm going to find any pictures, I think the only way it's going to happen is if I rip the button off of one of these computers.
