Hi all

this just started to happen over the last couple of days.
using wireless.
signal strength good
Connection to my router just stops.
I go into network settings and under tcp/ip my settings have all gone.
sometimes my router isnt even listed anymore just the surrounding neighbours show up.
I reset the settings and all is ok for a while.

it uses DHCP.
I dont know about BSSID.
I dont know what channels are in use.
in the network prefs/airport/location drop down list there is only one location and it is my router.
in the menu bar the signal strength shows other networks in the area which are locked.
reset it again this morning come home this afternoon and all settings gone again.
any ideas what is causing it.

What router are you using? How old is it? Have you reset IT?

Ok, what computer are you using? Users of some recent MacBooks and MacBook Pros using a certain OS and/or AirPort firmware update have reported similar problems. There is, as yet, no "known cure" for this, but I don't think anyone has collected enough data to determine when, where, what, and how the problem is.
